•   There are direct bus links to Alphen a/d Rijn (30 min.), Amsterdam (50 min.) which offer many interesting museums and attractions to visit.

The Green Heart is a beautiful nature variegated polder landscape surrounded by the large cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. It had its origin through peat excavation and is now a valuable piece of nature with a lot of water, birds, old peat meadow areas and characteristic old-Dutch towns and villages.

Historical towns for culture lovers, numerous pools, lakes and rivers for water sports enthusiasts, great attraction parks for children and sufficient possibilities for active cyclists and walkers. Accommodation in one of our apartments is also ideal when you wish to visit the beach of the Nord Sea or the cities of Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht. You are there by car in only half an hour. And after the bustle and excitement you are quickly back into nature.

You can not leave our farm without tasting the local (from the Green Heart) taste in our Farm Shop. This is open 5 days a week and offers plenty of choice in various delicacies for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our farm is located near the Nieuwkoop Lakes, so during your stay at our farm you can combine a bike ride or an afternoon on the lakes. The signposted ‘7-hovenroute’ passes by our farm. This 32-km cycle route passes seven farms – hence its name –-, all of which you can visit. The logo on this page helps you to recognize the signs along the route. It is signposted by the ANWB, the Dutch Automobile & Cyclists Association.

"Our family had a wonderful time staying at Newhouse Logies. The apartment (Parel) was spacious and beautiful as are the surroundings, and the owners are wonderful and gracious hosts. Our son had a wonderful time in the play area and interacting with the animals, especially the chickens (which were his favorite). Getting to help feed the animals and collect eggs were a particular highlight. We also enjoyed the fresh products at the shop. Our only real complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! “If you need a 5 star place but in nature's style in the center of Holland with terrific hospitality, then do not hesitate to stay at Newhouse Logies. I can only say that many 5 star hotels do not come close in comparison to the luxurious farmhouse at Newhouse Logies. The morning ritual began with the kids fetching eggs from the chicken coop.
